James "Jay" Tidwell

Jay Tidwell first learned tailoring from his coworkers and friends Bill Farmer and the late, great Tony Sweet, and has been performing the trade since 2002. Since that time, he has worked his way through the clothing business, having sold and tailored goods for Men's Wearhouse, Nordstrom, Jos. A. Bank, Goldstein's, Ermilio Clothiers, Henry A. Davidsen and Brooks Brothers.

Tidwell apprenticed under master tailor Larnell Baldwin and has acquired and honed his skills from working for various custom tailors such as Baldwin, and the late, great Gabriele D'Annunzio and Joseph Centofanti. He combines his technical skills with a well-learned sense of style and a carefully trained eye for fit, form, functionality and color, and now offers his very best to instill confidence and purpose in the clients that he serves.

"I offer solutions to tailoring problems that few today are able or willing to do and can articulate it in a way to fully appreciate the investment of fine tailoring. I hang my hat on my ability to do that."
